Now that you have your spiffy new domain name, web hosting and a website, it’s time to start building traffic and relationships. One of the quickest and easiest ways to do this is through social media.
Many people make the mistake of thinking they have to be on ALL the social media platforms out there (Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Snap Chat, etc.) Instead, it’s better to choose a few platforms your target market hangs out at and build a presence there.
While it isn’t recommended that all your social media efforts be automated, there are some things that can be. For example, if you have a Facebook Group for your community and do daily post threads there isn’t anything wrong with loading those up and having a tool like Hootsuite, for example, automatically publish those each day.
Remember, you need to be present on social media in order to cultivate the relationships with your audience – that’s not something that can be automated! Use your time wisely and limit yourself to a certain amount of time each day – if you don’t, it’s easy to get sucked in only to realize you just blew a couple hours ‘playing’ around on social media.
